WTC 2025 Abstract Submission Now Open!
The World Transplant Congress (WTC) 2025 invites the global transplant community to harness their global collective intelligence to address the challenges of end-organ transplantation.
Abstract Submission Information
- Submission Deadline: February 19, 2025.
- Submission Fee:
- US $25.00 for ASTS, AST, or TTS members (first or last author).
- US $75.00 for non-members.
- Authors from LMIC countries: $0 for AST, ASTS, or TTS members.
- Authors from LMIC countries: US $25 for non-members.
- Language: Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
Purpose of WTC 2025
The WTC harnesses global collective intelligence to address the challenges of end-organ failure by:
- Sharing expertise in clinical and scientific knowledge.
- Addressing key clinical issues across the continuum of care.
- Exploring the impact and utility of new technologies.
- Promoting evidence-based guidance.
- Encouraging local innovation to resolve global challenges.
Abstract Submission Categories
Abstracts will need to be submitted in one of the following categories:
- Administrative
- Basic Science
- Vascularized Composite Allografts
- Public Policy
- Psychosocial & Ethics
- Infectious Disease
- Pharmacy
- Kidney
- Liver
- Heart
- Lung
- Pancreas
- Intestine
- Organ Inclusive
- Advanced Practice Provider

Abstract Guidelines
- Structure: Include the study’s purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Character Limit: 2,750 characters (including spaces, figures, and tables).
- Key Words: Four required, selected from provided dropdown lists.
- Blinded Review: Avoid institutional references in the abstract body.

Review Process and Notifications
- Abstracts will undergo peer review. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by April 16, 2025.
- Accepted abstracts may be presented as oral or poster presentations and will be published online in a supplement to the American Journal of Transplantation and the Transplantation Journal.
Awards
- Young Investigator Travel Awards: Available to eligible trainees. Awards are based on abstract excellence as judged by the Joint Planning Committee.
Embargo Policy
- Abstracts will be publicly available online on June 25, 2025. Discussions beyond the abstract content are embargoed until the scientific sessions begin.
