WTC 2025 Call for Program Sessions
The Program Sessions Submission Portal is Now Open!
We encourage you to submit proposals that explore new advancements in transplantation. Incomplete proposals will not be considered, and no extensions will be granted after the October 11, 2024, 11:59 PM PST deadline.

Policies
Please read and understand the Program Submission Process before submitting your program.
All submissions and presenters are subject to evaluation for CME compliance and may be subject to modification or refusal. Employee/owners of ineligible companies (as defined by the ACCME) cannot be considered for CME programming.
- Program submission is a proposal only, and the planning committee has the right to change or alter it in any way they deem fit.
- Session proposers should advise all involved in their proposal that submission of a proposal does not constitute an invitation to appear on the program.

- All proposals must be submitted online.
- Paper and email proposals will not be considered.
- Submitters will be notified regarding the decision of the program committee by November 1, 2024, from the WTC Program Manager WTC2025-program@icsevents.com, following the program planning committee’s review and decision on programs.
Session Submission Guidelines
The following program session types are designed to provide program committee guidance when reviewing submissions and allocating programs. You will need to select the program session type that BEST applies to your submission:
Note: Sessions are expected to be 75 min. in length.
Ask The Experts
In an “Ask the Experts” session, attendees can interact directly with seasoned professionals. Participants can ask questions and seek advice on specific issues, gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge.
Case Study Session
A case study session focuses on real-world examples and practical applications of theories or techniques. Presenters share detailed accounts of specific projects, including challenges faced and solutions implemented, providing valuable lessons and insights.
Informal Interactive Sessions (e.g. Campfire Sessions)
Informal interactive sessions, such as campfire sessions, create a relaxed and open environment for discussion. Participants gather in a circle and engage in a collaborative conversation, sharing experiences and ideas in an informal and friendly setting.
Keynote Session
A keynote session features a prominent speaker who delivers a compelling presentation on a central theme of the conference. This session sets the tone for the event and often provides insightful perspectives and thought-provoking ideas.
Lightning Talks
Lightning talks are short, fast-paced presentations where each speaker has a limited amount of time, typically five minutes, to convey their key points. This format allows for a variety of topics to be covered in a concise and engaging manner.
Open – Suggest a Format
This session format invites participants to propose innovative and creative formats for presenting their content. It encourages flexibility and experimentation, allowing for unique and engaging ways to share knowledge and foster interaction.
Oral Session
An oral session consists of a series of presentations by different speakers on related topics. Each presenter shares their research or findings within a set time frame, followed by a brief Q&A period.
Panel Discussion
A panel discussion involves a group of experts who engage in a moderated conversation on a specific topic. The panelists share their views, debate issues, and answer questions from the audience, offering diverse perspectives and deep insights.
The WTC 2025 program should address the key issues of global management of organ failure and transplantation. We invite society members to propose session topics around the broad spectrum of clinical, basic, societal infrastructure related topics. This is not a rigid framework, and the program committee welcomes your thoughts to create a program that addresses global issues of the patients we care for.
The following program topics are designed to provide program committee guidance when reviewing submissions and allocating programs. You will need to select the program topic that BEST applies to your submission:
Adverse events/ complications in transplant recipients:

- Comorbidities: hypertension, diabetes, obesity
- Pharmacology, critical care, nutrition
- Ischemia/reperfusion; resuscitation/management
Allied health profession and administration related topics
Immunology/Immunosuppression

Each program submission will need to provide 3 Goals and Objectives.
Keywords
Each program submission will need to select 2 – 3 keywords. Selecting keywords that apply to your submission will assist attendees when building their onsite schedules and navigating the program.
