Host Associations

The American Society of Transplantation (AST) is a diverse organization dedicated to advancing the field of transplantation and improving patient care by promoting research, education, advocacy, and organ donation and service to the community through the lens of equity and inclusion. Founded in 1982, the AST brings together professionals involved in transplantation medicine, including physicians, surgeons, scientists, and nurses, to enhance their expertise and share best practices through a collaborative network.

The AST offers its members a variety of educational resources, professional development opportunities, and cutting-edge research updates. It actively engages in policy discussions and ethical considerations impacting the transplant community, aiming to improve transplantation outcomes and increase organ donation awareness. Through annual meetings, webinars, and a strong online presence, the AST fosters an informed and connected transplant community dedicated to saving and enhancing lives.

The American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) was founded in 1974 by 127 surgeons to unite the professionals who were advancing the fledgling field of organ transplantation. From this small group of dedicated individuals, we have grown to represent over 2,000 transplant professionals who are dedicated to saving and improving lives through the transformative power of organ donation and transplant surgery

The Transplantation Society (TTS) is an international non-profit organization founded in 1966, focused on advancing the practice and science of transplantation. It serves as a platform for medical professionals to enhance clinical care and promote ethical standards through education, research, and policy development in the field of organ transplantation.

TTS connects physicians, surgeons, researchers, and healthcare professionals globally, 100+ organizing Congresses and educational programs while publishing leading scientific journals like “Transplantation.” Society also advocates for improved public awareness and access to organ transplantation worldwide, influencing policy and promoting best practices and ethical guidelines within the transplant community.
