Program Benefits
Each selected student will receive:
Complimentary Full Registration to WTC 2025

As Students Ambassadors, these students will actively participate in daily sessions at WTC 2025, engage with international attendees and experts, and provide a post-congress summary to share their learnings with WTC Committees and their own networks.

About the WTC 2025 Student Ambassador Program
The WTC 2025 Student Ambassador Program was created to promote organ donation and transplantation as an exciting and rewarding specialty for 3rd and 4th-year medical students. This unique initiative aimed to inspire the next generation of doctors by offering selected students the chance to engage with leaders in the field at the WTC 2025 Congress.
By joining the Student Ambassador Program, our Student Ambassadors:
- Helped raise awareness and excitement around organ donation and transplantation.
- Encouraged broader student participation in WTC 2025.
- Contributed to a dynamic space for valuable knowledge-sharing among peers.

Are You Eligible for the Program?
To be eligible, you should be:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited medical school
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
Documents Required for the Application:
- Copy of your current CV
- Letter from your Medical School Program Director on official letterhead supporting your application
Who Will Be Selected?
The program will select six international medical students – (US and Canadian students covered separately through AST travel grants). Selection will be based on geographical representation from the following regions:
- Latin America
- Europe (including Russia)
- Africa
- Oceania
- Asia (Western, Central, South, and Southeast)
- North America: AST will be hosting a separate travel grant application process which will open up mid-March 2025 – for more info, click here.
Agenda
Selected ambassadors will follow a curated agenda, guided by WTC 2025, which includes the following activities:
- Attendance at the Opening and Keynote – 1 session
- Participation in the WHCOP & WIT Reception
- Early Career Networking Breakfast
- Attendance at a minimum 1 scientific session in the morning and 1 scientific session in the afternoon each full day of the congress
- Attendance at one Pre-Congress Workshop
- Social media engagement as an ambassador by posting experiences online
Award Coverage
- Complimentary Full Congress registration (includes access to all congress sessions, exhibit hall and posters as well as networking functions excluding all private or ticketed events)
- USD 2,000 for travel assistance
- Four nights of accommodation at one of the official WTC Congress Hotels (August 2-6)
- IMPORTANT
- Please note that applying for the Student Ambassador Program does not automatically register you for the Congress. You will only be officially registered if selected as an ambassador. Once selected, you will receive a confirmation email along with an Invitation Letter from WTC2025, which can be used to initiate your Visa Application, if necessary.
- Please be reminded that understanding all entry requirements and obtaining a visa is the responsibility of the student.

AST will be hosting a separate travel grant application process from March 25 – April 21.
